Cheesy Tuna Noodle Casserole

INGREDIENTS :

1 pkg. (16 oz.) frozen vegetable blend (broccoli, carrots, cauliflower)
1 pkg. (14 oz.) KRAFT Deluxe Macaroni & Cheese Dinner Made With 2% Milk Cheese
3/4 cup fat-free milk
1/4 cup KRAFT Light Zesty Italian Dressing
1 can (12 oz.) white tuna in water, drained
1 cup KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese, divided

COOKING DIRECTIONS :

HEAT oven to 375°F.

PLACE vegetables in colander in sink. Cook Macaroni as directed on package; pour over vegetables to drain macaroni and thaw vegetables. Return to saucepan.

STIR in Cheese Sauce, milk and dressing. Add tuna and 1/2 cup Cheddar; mix well. Spoon into 2-qt. casserole; cover.

BAKE 35 min. or until heated through. Top with remaining Cheddar; bake 3 to 4 min. or until melted.


MORE :

Substitute
Substitute 1 lb. extra-lean ground beef, cooked and drained, for the tuna.
Make Ahead
Assemble casserole as directed. Refrigerate up to 24 hours. When ready to serve, bake, covered, at 375°F for 40 to 45 min. or until heated through. Top with remaining cheese; continue as directed.
Substitute
Prepare using 2 (5-oz.) cans tuna.

Cheesy Mac-Topped Casserole

INGREDIENTS :

Milk Cheese
1 lb. extra-lean ground beef
3 cloves garlic, minced
1-1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
1 can (28 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 pkg. (9 oz.) frozen green beans, thawed, drained
1 cup KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese

COOKING DIRECTIONS :

HEAT oven to 375°F.

PREPARE Dinner as directed on package. Meanwhile, brown meat with garlic and oregano in large nonstick skillet; drain. Stir in tomatoes and beans.

SPOON meat mixture into 13x9-inch baking dish; top with Dinner. Cover.

BAKE 30 min. or until heated through. Remove from oven. Top with cheese; let stand, covered, 5 min. or until melted.

Make Ahead
Assemble casserole as directed. Refrigerate up to 24 hours. When ready to serve, bake as directed for 40 to 45 min. or until heated through. Top with cheese; continue as directed.
Substitute
Prepare using 2 cups frozen green beans or Italian green beans, thawed.
Make it Easy
If using foil to cover the casserole, spray foil with cooking spray before using. Place, sprayed-side down, over casserole to prevent sticking.

Layered Fiesta Casserole

INGREDIENTS :

1 lb. extra-lean ground beef
1 green pepper, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
1 jar (16 oz.) TACO BELL® HOME ORIGINALS® Thick 'N Chunky Salsa
1 can (14-1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen corn, thawed
12 corn tortillas (6 inch)
1-1/2 cups KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese, divided

COOKING DIRECTIONS :

HEAT oven to 375°F.

BROWN meat with peppers in large skillet; drain. Return to skillet. Stir in salsa, tomatoes and corn.

SPREAD 1 cup meat mixture onto bottom of 13x9-inch baking dish; top with 6 tortillas, overlapping as necessary. Cover with layers of half each of the remaining meat mixture and cheese; top with remaining tortillas and meat mixture. Cover with foil.

BAKE 25 to 30 min. or until heated through. Top with remaining cheese; let stand 5 min. or until melted.

Makeover - How We Did It
Save 60 calories and 9 g of fat, including 4 g of saturated fat, per serving by using extra-lean ground beef instead of 80% lean ground beef and reduced fat Cheddar cheese instead of full-fat Cheddar.

Favorite Tuna Casserole


INGREDIENTS :

Take 1 qt. (4 cups) water, 1 can (10-3/4 oz. ) condensed cream of mushroom soup and 1 can (6 oz.) tuna and mix & match your recipe from these options...

elbow macaroni 1 cup each peas and sliced celery Cheddar
rotini 2 cups broccoli florets Finely Shredded Italian Style Five Cheese Blend
fusilli 1 cup each peas and sliced carrots Cheddar
small shells 2 cups corn Mexican Style

COOKING DIRECTIONS :

ADD 1 qt. water to 2 cups uncooked pasta in large skillet; cover. Bring to boil on high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook 8 to 10 minutes or until pasta is tender, adding vegetables to the cooking water during the last 5 minutes of the pasta cooking time. Reduce heat to medium.

STIR in soup, drained and flaked tuna and 1 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheese.

TOP with additional 1/2 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheese; cover and cook an additional 2 minutes or until cheese is melted.
